Item 7.01 REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE.

On June 12, 2006, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Alcan Inc. (“Alcan” or the “Company”), Richard B. Evans, gave a presentation on the aluminum industry at CRU’s 11^th World Aluminum Conference. The presentation is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference.

The Company has also issued a press release, attached hereto as Exhibit 99.2.
