Operating Costs
Operating costs consist primarily of personnel costs (which includes wages, salaries, social security fees and pension costs of bus drivers, mechanics and other employees), fuel, tires and other consumables costs, and other external costs, which include depot costs and head office administrative costs and operating lease charges. Operating costs increased by SEK 21 million, or 2%, from SEK 1,026 million for the three months ended August 31, 2003 to SEK 1,047 million for the three months ended August 31, 2004. This increase is due to a number of factors, which are explained below.
