ID BIOMEDICAL ANNOUNCES WEBCAST OF 2005 ANNUAL GENERAL
MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS

Vancouver, BC – May 20, 2005– ID Biomedical Corporation (TSX: IDB; NASDAQ: IDBE) announced today that it will be holding its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders at 2:30 pm (ET), on Thursday May 26, 2005 at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, QC. A web cast of the meeting can be heard by accessing the Company’s website at www.idbiomedical.com. The web cast of the meeting will be archived and available on the Company’s website through August 22,2005.
