Note 1: Background and Basis of Presentation
The accompanying unaudited consolidated financial statements have been derived from the books and records of the Company. However, certain financial information has not been subject to procedures that would typically be applied to financial information presented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in the United States of America (“GAAP”). The accompanying unaudited consolidated financial statements do not include all of the information and footnote disclosures required by GAAP for complete financial statements. In the opinion of management, all disclosures considered necessary for an informative presentation have been included herein.
The Company filed its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2005 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) on March 29, 2006 and subsequently filed its quarterly report on Form 10-Q for the period ended March 31, 2006. The Company’s website (www.adelphia.com) contains a hyperlink to the Adelphia page on the SEC’s website (www.sec.gov) to access these reports. Information contained on the Company’s Internet website is not incorporated by reference in this Monthly Operating Report. The Company has not completed the preparation of financial statements for periods subsequent to March 31, 2006 and is reviewing its books and records and other information on an ongoing basis to determine whether the accompanying unaudited consolidated financial statements of the Debtors will be supplemented or otherwise amended. The Company reserves the right to file, at any time, such supplements or amendments to these accompanying unaudited consolidated financial statements. For example, the accompanying unaudited consolidated financial statements should not be considered an admission regarding any of the Debtors’ income, expenditures or general financial condition, but rather, a current compilation of the Debtors’ books and records. The Company does not make, and specifically disclaims, any representation or warranty as to the completeness or accuracy of the information set forth herein.
