EXPLANATORY NOTE

The purpose of this Amendment No. 1 to our Distribution Report on Form 10-D for the monthly distribution period from October 1, 2020 to October 31, 2020, as filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 16, 2020 (the “Original Form 10-D”), is to amend Exhibit 99.1 to the Original Form 10-D in the manner set forth under Item 9 of Part II below. No other changes have been made to the Original Form 10-D other than the change described in the preceding sentence. This Amendment No. 1 does not reflect events occurring after the filing date of the Original Form 10-D.

The Amended Servicer’s Certificate reflects revisions to the Original Servicer’s Certificate relating to (i) the Class E Accrued Note Interest set forth in line 54, including the Interest Rate and the related Calculated Interest and (ii) the Distribution to Residual Interestholder set forth in line 60. All of the Class E Notes and the residual Certificates issued by the issuing entity have been and continue to be held by affiliates of Santander Consumer USA Inc. The Amended Servicer’s Certificate was provided to the Indenture Trustee and made available to holders of the issuing entity’s Notes prior to the December 2020 Payment Date.
