Explanatory Note:

This Form 10-D/A amends the registrant's Asset Backed Issuer Distribution Report on Form 10-D filed by the Registrant on January 27, 2026 (SEC Accession No. 0001888524-26-001255) (the "Original 10-D"). The purpose of this amendment is to correct the Collection Account balance for the “Current Distribution Date” under Item 9 of Original 10-D to $0.00. No modifications were made to the monthly distribution report.

On January 16, 2026 a distribution was made to holders of the certificates issued by JPMDB Commercial Mortgage Securities Trust 2017-C5.
