Item 5.02

Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On January 13, 2020, Southwest Georgia Financial Corporation appointed T. Garrett Westbrook Vice President and Controller of Southwest Georgia Financial Corporation and its subsidiary, Southwest Georgia Bank, effective immediately.

Mr. Westbrook graduated from Georgia Southern University magna cum laude in 2001 with a Master’s Degree in Accounting. He began his career as an external auditor and tax accountant specializing in banking, construction, and real estate development. He previously served as a tax manager for a local CPA firm before joining the bank in 2018.
