Item 8.01. Other Events.

On December 15, 2010, Monroe Bancorp (“Monroe”) and Old National Bancorp (“Old National”) jointly issued a press release announcing the receipt of regulatory approvals from the Federal Reserve Board and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency relating to Monroe’s pending merger with Old National. A copy of the press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
