Savia announces organizational changes

Monterrey N.L., Mexico, October 13, 2003. Savia S.A. de C.V. (BMV: Savia; NYSE: VAI), announced today organizational changes. Bernardo Jimenez Barrera would cease to act as CFO of Savia and will joined Seminis Inc, a Delaware company, as Chief Financial Officer.

At Savia, Enrique Osorio Lopez will now assume the function as CFO. Enrique Osorio has extensive experience in the financial arena and previously in Savia and Subsidiaries, where he acted as Treasurer and IR Vice President.
