Item 8.01 Other Events

On December 13, 2011, the Board of Directors of First Sentry Bancshares, Inc. (the “Company”) announced the approval of a cash dividend on the Company’s outstanding common stock of $0.20 per share. The dividend will be payable to stockholders of record as of December 24, 2011 and is expected to be paid on December 31, 2011.
