Item 8.01. Other Events.

On August 28, 2006, Connetics Corporation announced the positive outcome of its Phase III clinical trial evaluating Extina^® (ketoconazole) Foam, 2%, formulated in VersaFoam-HF™, for the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis. A copy of the press release regarding Extina Foam is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference in this Item 8.01.
