Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On February 20, 2025, Michael Heffernan tendered his resignation as a member of the board of directors (the “Board”) of Synlogic, Inc. (the “Company”) and as a member of the audit committee and nominating and governance committee of the Board, effective immediately. Mr. Heffernan’s resignation was voluntary and did not result from any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.
