Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Directors; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On January 19, 2012, Michel E. Ghostine resigned as a director of the Board of Directors of Sillenger Exploration Corp. (the “Company”). Mr. Ghostine has recently been appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of First African Exploration Corp. (“FAX”), the Company’s exclusive representative in Africa and the Middle East, and his resignation from the Company’s Board is intended to avoid any actual or perceived conflict of interests between FAX and the Company.
