Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.

On November 23, 2010, Superior Bancorp issued a press release announcing that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Superior Bank, had filed a damage claim as a result of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The text of the press release is attached to this report as Exhibit 99.
