Gillings, the Executive Chairman and a greater than 10% beneficial owner of Quintiles Transnational Holdings Inc., and the sale of 356,849 shares of Common Stock owned by the Gillings Limited Partnership, of which her spouse, Dennis B. Gillings, is general partner. Following this sale, the Reporting Person may be deemed to beneficially own the shares that may be beneficially owned by her spouse, which consist of 13,100,489 shares held directly by him and 148,231 shares held by the GFEF Limited Partnership.
