Gillings, the Executive Chairman and a greater than 10% beneficial owner of Quintiles Transnational Holdings Inc., transferred shares to GFEF Limited Partnership, of which he is the general partner and of which he is a limited partner. The Reporting Person may be deemed to beneficially own the shares that may be beneficially owned by her spouse, which, following the transactions reported herein, consist of 13,005,353 shares held directly by him and 161,699 shares held by the GFEF Limited Partnership. The Reporting Person disclaims beneficial ownership of these securities except to the extent of her pecuniary interest therein.
