On October 8, 2009, Beverly National Corporation (“Beverly”) issued a press release announcing that at Beverly’s special meeting of shareholders held on October 8, 2009, holders of Beverly common stock voted to approve the Agreement and Plan of Merger dated as of June 16, 2009, providing for the merger of Beverly with and into Danvers Bancorp, Inc. A copy of the press release issued by Beverly is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
