Announcement of Quarterly Dividend

On September 11, 2012, the Board of Directors of Croghan Bancshares, Inc. approved the declaration of a shareholder dividend for the third quarter of 2012. The third quarter dividend of $.32 per share will be payable on October 31, 2012 to shareholders of record on October 12, 2012.
