Item 8.01

Other Events.

On December 17, 2012, FirstFed Financial Corp. (the “Company”) filed its monthly operating report for the period beginning November 1, 2012 and ending November 30, 2012 (the “November Report”) with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California (the “Bankruptcy Court”). The November Report is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.

Cautionary Statements Regarding November Report

The November Report is limited in scope, covers only a one-month time period and has been prepared solely for the purpose of the Company’s compliance with the monthly reporting requirements of the Bankruptcy Court.
