Item 8.01 Other Events.

The Board of Trustees of PIMCO Income Strategy Fund (the “Fund”) has declared a monthly distribution for the Fund’s common shares. The distribution is payable on January 3, 2023 to shareholders of record on December 12, 2022, with an ex-dividend date of December 9, 2022. The news release disclosing this distribution is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
