Apple Hospitality REIT, Inc. (which is referred to below as the “Company”) is filing this report in accordance with Item 5.02 of Form 8-K.

Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On February 9, 2026, Kristian Gathright notified the Company of her resignation from the Board of Directors of the Company. Ms. Gathright's resignation, effective February 9, 2026, comes after seven years of distinguished service to the Company's Board of Directors and is not due to any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.
