ITEM 8.01 Other Items

On December 10, 2012, Gulf United Energy (the “Company”) received notice from SK Innovation Co., Ltd. (“SK”), the operator on Block CPO-4, that it intends to plug and abandon the Zorro Gris #1 well. The well will be plugged and abandoned in a manner that will allow for re-entry for future testing and evaluation. As previously planned, SK intends to release the drilling rig so that it can begin the process of acquiring its second proprietary 3-D seismic shoot on the CPO-4 block (approximately 135 square miles). The acquisition of the 3-D seismic data is anticipated to be completed during 2013.
