Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure

On November 20, 2025, FirstEnergy Corp. issued a Letter to the Investment Community regarding its Ohio utilities, the Ohio Edison Company, The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company and The Toledo Edison Company (the “Ohio Companies”), and summarizing the November 19, 2025 orders issued by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio regarding the Ohio Companies’ 2024 base rate case and the consolidated Ohio audits, including the distribution modernization rider, expanded distribution capital recovery rider, and the corporate separation audit. A copy of the Letter to the Investment Community is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
