Explanatory Note:

This Form 10-D/A amends the registrant's Asset Backed Issuer Distribution Report on Form 10-D filed by the Registrant on July 30, 2025 (SEC Accession No. 0001888524-25-013279) (the “Original 10-D”). The purpose of this amendment is to revise certain information in the Monthly Distribution Report filed as Exhibit 99.1 to the Original 10-D relating to amounts payable to the Certificateholders based on updated information from the Master Servicer and is being filed for administrative convenience to ensure the beginning and ending balances of each Class of Certificates and the allocations of principal and interest reflect amounts ultimately distributed to investors.

On July 17, 2025 a distribution was made to holders of the certificates issued by CSAIL 2016-C5 Commercial Mortgage Trust.

The distribution report is attached as an Exhibit to this Form 10-D/A, please see Item 10(b), Exhibit 99.1 for the related information.

The Depositor has filed a Form ABS-15G pursuant to Rule 15Ga-1 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 on February 7, 2025. The CIK number of the Depositor is 0001654060.
